Have you tried the new Starter Spellcaster deck, it only cost $10 and includes a full deck of about 40 cards.

P.S. if you do get this deck don't trade the Summoner Monk because he has became VERY valuable lately.

Here is the deck>>>

just buy it at a local store

Anyone wearing a pin is special, but that does not mean they receive any thing extra. At this late notice I have no idea what is available for your Birthday dinner, call 1-407-WDisney and ask what is available.

Ideas for Magic Kingdom

Ride the Monorail to:
California Grill, in the Contemporary Hotel, has a balcony for watching fireworks.
1900 Park Fare
The Polynesian has a wonder dinner meal as a luau.

Inside the park:

Liberty Tree Tavern
Crystal Palace
Tony's Town Square

go to Ohana at the Poly resort. You just have to hop on the monorail for a brief ride. It is all you can eat and you may can get a table for two overlooking the lake and MK.

You may want to go to allears.net for restaurant reviews. eating at cinderella' castle is neat, but kids are everywhere.
If you like Italian, try Tony's town square. I saw the Crystal Palace mentioned too but honestly if you want a nice romantice meal, I would try Ohana or a resort restaurant.

Look up the California Grill... it is in Disney World but near Epcot. It is delicious! While you are waiting for your food you can go outside on the roof and overlook the entire park! It is wonderful! Especially at sunset. If you have to be at the Magic Kindom eat inside of Cinderellas palace. The food is Disney quality but the atmosphere is great! Remeber to call ahead to customer service and make a reservation. Make it during the firworks you will have the best seat in the house. Also for dessert you can eat chocolate iced cream out of a glass slipper. Fun!

Maybe go bowling or go to an amusement park and go out for lunch or dinner. Or you could go shopping or go to a concert depending how much you want to spend. Think of what your hobbies are.

I have been an amateur magician for about 30 years, I learned to pick locks by 1st takeing them apart, (Houdini learned the same way) I learned the hard way. And truth be told, nowadays most locks cannot be picked. Most Magicians now a days use trick locks that can be found in any magic store.

Large Venue
------------------
You pay the entry fee ($25, usually) to enter the tournament and then wait for the announcement of pool registration to begin. You may be assigned a table to build your deck at, so be sure to go to the correct table.

Each player will be given 5-6 boosters to open and register on a deck list. This session lasts either 15 or 30 minutes (can't remember exactly). Once the registration session is finished, each card pool will be gathered up and redistributed randomly (you may end up with the same pool you registered).

Deck building lasts 45 minutes. You must take your pool of cards and create a minimum 40-card deck to play with. You will mark the cards used in your deck on the deck registration sheet given to you. Also, there should be a specified area where you can grab all the basic lands your deck will need (these count towards the 40 card minimum).

Once building and registration is finished, the rounds begin. Make sure to pay attention and listen for who you will be playing against and at what table. Each round lasts 45 minutes, and is a best 2 out of 3 rounds match.

Small Venue
------------------
If you are playing at a card shop or something similar, the atmosphere is much more relaxed. Typically, deck registration is not required, so the first registration session is skipped and your deck need not be registered during the deck building session. Also, some small venues will not assign tables to build and play at, so when you're listening for player matchups, you need to pay attention and find the player you will be playing against.

My Tips
-----------
Make sure you have the necessities when you go. A deck box (to hold your cards), sleeves (to protect your cards that you use), pens and paper (to keep track of life totals and tokens) are what I bring to every launch party. You may want to bring extra cash in case you want to buy a couple booster packs while you're at the event, and in case you don't have sleeves to use.

Also, don't fret about trying to build the best deck possible. It's much more rewarding to build a deck you like to play. If you see a card you like, try to build around that card. Release events are a much more fun atmosphere than other tournaments, as they are the first time many people see the cards in a new set.
